Notes This compilation of Australia's trademark law, which was prepared on 29 October 1999 by the Office of Legislative Drafting and Publishing, Attorney-General’s Department, Canberra, consolidates the amendments to the principal Trade Marks Act 1995 (Act No. 119 of 1995) up to the Intellectual Property Laws Amendment Act 1998 (Act No. 100 of 1998). See the 'Notes' section to this compilation of the Trade Marks Act 1995 on page 113 for a complete listing of the consolidated amendments.
This Act covers the regulation of trade marks in Australia and includes criminal provisions as per the Crimes Act.
