This Revised Edition 2002 of the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore Act (Act No. 3 of 2001 contained in Chapter 140) takes into account amendments up to the "Geographical Indications Act 2014 (Act No. 19 of 2014)", which entered into force on April 1, 2019; except sections 4(6) to (9), 15, 16 and 55 to 76 which entered into force on November 21, 2019.
Section 89 of Part VII of the said Law "Geographical Indications Act 2014" introduces amendments (in force on April 1, 2019) to the following provisions of this Revised Eidition 2002 of the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore Act:
-Part I, Section 2, paragraph (b) (amended): paragraph (c) (amended); paragraph (d) (inserted) ;
- Part III, Section 7(1)(a) (amended);
-Part VII, Section 34(3) (amended);
- Insertion of a new paragraph after paragraph 3 of the Third Schedule.
