This consolidated version of the Patents Act 1977 (Chapter 37, updated up to October 21, 2020) takes into account amendments up to the Higher Education and Research Act 2017 (Chapter 19), which entered into force on different dates.
Schedule 12, paragraph 13 of the Higher Education and Research Act 2017 introduces amendments to section 41(3) of Part I of this consolidated version of the Patents Act 1977, which entered into force on April 1, 2018, in accordance to section 2 of the Higher Education and Research Act 2017 (Commencement No. 3) Regulations 2018 (S.I. 2018/241).
This consolidated version shows the changes, inter alia, introduced by a listing of legislation that entered into force on January 1, 2021 (Brexit day) and has not yet been incorporated into the said version (see the Table of "Changes to legislation" at the end of this consolidated version for details).
