Notes
The notification by Australia to the WTO under Article 63.2 of TRIPS states:
'The Regulations amend the Plant Breeder's Rights Regulations 1994, Trade Mark Regulations 1995, Designs Regulations 2004, and the Patents Regulations 1991 to implement measures which provide administrative arrangements for the provisions introduced by the Act [Intellectual Property Laws Amendment (Productivity Commission Response Part 1 and Other Measures) Act 2018].
The Regulations also make minor technical corrections and streamline the administration of Australia's IP system.'
Schedule 1, Part 3 and Schedule 2, Parts 4, 5, 8, 9, 12, and 13 of the Regulations enter into force on October 17, 2019. Schedule 1, Parts 2 and 3, and Schedule 2, Parts 1-3, 6, 7, 10, and 11 entered into force on February 24, 2019.
The Regulations was repealed on February 25, 2019 by Division 1 of Part 3 of Chapter 3 of the Legislation Act 2003.
