Law No. 9.279 of May 14, 1996 entered into force on May 15, 1997, one year after its publication on May 15 , 1996; except for Articles 230, 231, 232 and 239, which entered into force on May 15, 1996 on the date of its publication, in accordance with its Article 243 under Title VIII.
This consolidated version of Law No. 9.279 of May 14, 1996 takes into account amendments up to "Law No. 10.196 of February 14, 2001", which entered into force on February 16, 2001.
The said amending Law No. 10.196 amended Articles 43 and 229, and added new Articles 229-A, 229-B and 229-C to this consolidated version.
