Federal Law No. 431-FZ was passed on December 30, 2015, was officially published in the Official Internet Portal of Legal Information (http://www.pravo.gov.ru) on December 30, 2015, and entered into force on January 1, 2017, except for paragraph 3 of Article 28, which entered into force on the day of its official publication.
This consolidated version of the Federal Law incorporates amendments made by 'Federal Law No. 361-FZ of July 3, 2016, on Amendments to and Repeal of Certain Laws of the Russian Federation', which was published on July 12, 2016, and entered into force on January 1, 2017, except for paragraphs 2 to 5 of Article 32.
Article 27 of this consolidated Federal Law provides that 'typography' is removed from the detailed list of categories of works that are protected by copyright, as referred to in paragraph 1 of Article 1259 under Chapter 70, Section VII, Part Four of the Civil Code.
