Year of Version 2017 Dates Amended up to: May 17, 2017 Published: August 16, 1993 Promulgated: July 26, 1993 Type of Text Main IP Laws Subject Matter Patents (Inventions), Utility Models, Industrial Designs, Undisclosed Information (Trade Secrets), Copyright and Related Rights (Neighboring Rights) Notes This consolidated version of the Law on Intellectual Property takes into account amendments up to the 'Legislative Decree No. 611 of February 15, 2017, on Amendments to the Law on Intellectual Property'. The said Legislative Decree No. 611 introduces amendments to the following provisions of Title Second of this consolidated version: - Chapter II, last paragraph of Section C; - Chapter III, Article 44, paragraphs a-d, h and i; - Chapter IV, first paragraph of Article 56; - Chapter XI, last paragraph of Article 90; - Chapter XII, Article 97; Article 98, paragraphs a, b, f, g and h; - Chapter XIII, Articles 100 to 100-H; Articles 101 and 101-A. Article 3 of this consolidated Law states that it shall not apply to marks, trade names and advertising slogans or signs, which shall be governed by the Law on Trademarks and Other Distinctive Signs.
