The consolidated Part Four of the Civil Code takes into account amendments up to 'Federal Law No. 358-FZ of November 28, 2015, on Amendments to Certain Laws of the Russian Federation in Connection with the Adoption of the federal Law 'on Fundamental Principles of Social Services for Nationals of Russian Federation' (see Part Four, Section VII, Chapter 70, Article 1274, paragraph 1, 6) of the consolidated version for the amendments).

Part Four of the consolidated Civil Code consists of 9 chapters (69-77) and 326 articles (1225-1551). It provides the legal regime for the protection of intellectual property rights.
Part One and Part Three contain, inter alia, the following general provisions on intellectual property:
