Year of Version 2008 Dates Adopted: July 14, 2004 Type of Text IP-related Laws Subject Matter Enforcement of IP and Related Laws, Other Notes The Law of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea on Administrative Penalties is divided into 4 chapters: Chapter 1 on Fundamental Principles of Administrative Penalties, Chapter 2 on General Provisions, Chapter 3 on Types of Administrative Offences, and Chapter 4 on Procedure for Administrative Penalties.

The Law on Administrative Penalties contains the provisions relating to penalties for trademark infringement (Article 42), penalties for wrong evaluation of scientific and technological achievements such as inventions (Article 101), and penalties for copyright infringement in relation to computer software and software industry (Article 104).
