Notes
The notification by Kazakhstan to the WTO under article 63.2 of TRIPS states:
'The Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan provides basic rights and freedoms, including freedom of speech and creativity.'
The Constitution recognizes the rights of citizens to private property (Articles 6 & 26); guarantees the freedom of creative activities (Articles 19(2) & 20(1)), and protects historical and cultural heritage (Article 37).
This consolidated version of the Constitution takes into account amendments up to Law No. 403-IV of February 2, 2011, which entered into force on February 3, 2011 (see Article 41 for the amendments).
